Learn more about Little Bear Cubs Pre-School
A happy and welcoming introduction to Little Bear Cubs Pre-School is important and before your child’s start date, you and your child will be offered the opportunity to join one of our sessions. This will give you the freedom to become familiar with our routines and meet our wonderful staff as well as get to know some of our lovely children. The aim of this is to support the settling in period of each and every child. We know that happy children equals happy families and we want to ensure that we do everything we can to ensure the settling in process is smooth and exciting.
During your child’s first week at Pre-School he/she will be allocated with a key person. Their key person will be responsible for liaising with you in order to provide feedback after each session and ensure that your child feels safe within his/her new surroundings. A key person is a great link between pre-school, the child and their home environment.
When you bring your child into the Pre-School at the start of the session, they will be greeted by their key person who will encourage them to join an activity. All activities offered and the equipment used is carefully chosen to present children with a range of activities that provide both familiar experiences and new ones to extend their learning.
Sand, water, play dough, puzzles, large and small construction toys, a creative area, free painting, role play and the book/quiet area will always be available for the children to choose. There will also be opportunities for the children to participate in musical activities, cooking and outdoor play including planting, exploring and learning about wildlife.
Throughout each term the children will also be given the opportunity to attend a range of school visits within the local area and we will also have visitors such as the theatre to perform a variety of shows.

Our unique Pre-school offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.
